A mediocre if productive month, interrupted by various health problems, although nothing too serious. A month where I continued to crawl towards completing the various paintings I've begun this year, while also beginning new works that will probably take at least four months to complete, as well as a surprise picture I began and finished in about four days.
Anoush Anou. A purple pencil sketch from this week that started as an attempt to draw in the style of Egon Schiele. The surprise picture I mentioned above.
The finished version, not including one thing I forgot, a combination of the version above, and the version below, which is why it's in-between them.
A friend of mine posted some of the color palettes she uses for her work, so I used them to create this picture. The final version is darker, obviously, and has the original pencil sketch as an overlay, yet this one works as well, if not better.
It's titled For A Mermaid, after the artist (CrestfallenMermaid) and dedicated to her.
Kate Ri. Pencil prelim/underlay for yet another portrait.
Anoush Anou. A simple figure study/structure sketch that may become a proper picture eventually (or not).
Anoush Anou. An experiment of sorts with the purpose of adding something new to the reference photograph instead of just recreating it. Whether it does will only be known when I finish it.
Unknown model blue pencil prelim for a planned painting. I've attempted to recreate the original photograph over the last thirteen and a bit years with varying success, in that I never actually completed it due to reasons I'm not talking about.
Unknown model drawing. Began as an break from my work in progress paintings, as an exercise in drawing eyes before growing into its own thing.
Kate Ri. Pencil sketches in progress, combined in the style of Alphonse Mucha's Documents/Figures Decorative Portfolio.
Kate Ri, sumi sketch. Completed (for now).
Kate Ri, sketch/drawing hybrid thing in progress.
